THE AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS
With the great war over and thousands of service personnel returning home, the need for veterans organizations became apparent. And so over a thousand officers and enlisted men came together in Paris France to form the American Legion, better known as "The Legion", since its conception the organization has always been veterans for veterans. Founded on March 15, 1919, The Legion was chartered by the Congress of the United States on September 16, 1919, and has had a significant role in veterans affairs since. A truly global organization The Legion is made up of local posts who organize commemorative events and often assist at VA hospitals and clinics.
As a political force, The Legion lobbies specifically on behalf of current and former members of the armed forces and was instrumental in the passing of the GI Bill.
Keeping in line with these traditions Post 13 of Williams Arizona is proud to bring you the "ROAD RASH RODEO". All proceeds will be used in suicide prevention, employment programs and supporting local first responders with tools and training. We will be offering motorcycle contests, a swap meet, vendors, raffles and biker games. There will be live music and plenty of food.
